2019 North American Auto Show: NACTOY Award Winners Announced<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The winners of the 2019 North American Car, Utility, and Truck of the Year awards were announced. Hyundai had quite a good day. The Korean-based manufacturer took prizes for both the \u201cUtility of the Year\u201d and \u201cCar of the Year\u201d categories, while \u201cTruck of the Year\u201d went to the Ram 1500. The NACTOY awards are chosen by a panel of 54 jurors from print, online, radio, and broadcast media across the U.S. and Canada. Winners are determined based on a variety of factors, including segment leadership, innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction, and economic value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 Mustang Shelby: The Most Powerful Mustang Ever<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ford<\/a> wowed attendees by unveiling its most powerful Mustang ever. The 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 boasts a 5.2 L V8 engine outfitted with a 2.65 L supercharger. It’s paired with a dual-clutch transmission. It produces more than 700 horsepower. Sure to be a killer at the track, the 2020 GT500 has a striking look brought about by its wider body and aggressive aerodynamic package. Lucky reporters and industry onlookers got to experience the vehicle through virtual reality headsets provided by Ford. There\u2019s no official horsepower or price-tag figures released yet, but it\u2019s safe to say this bad boy won\u2019t be cheap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Biggest Blunder- Infiniti\u2019s QX Inspiration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the show’s biggest blunder,\u00a0Infiniti<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>attemp<\/span>ted to unveil its QX Inspiration electric concept car, but the vehicle experienced technical difficulties. It sputtered out before it could reach the stage. Said to be a preview of the company\u2019s design for its upcoming electric vehicles, Infiniti has advertised the Inspiration as having a highly stylized exterior and a \u201clounge-like\u201d interior. Attendees were able to get a brief glimpse of the defunct machine in the hallway, at least.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Return of the Toyota Supra<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sports car fans rejoice, because the Toyota Supra<\/strong><\/a> is back! The highly-tunable sports car immortalized in \u201cThe Fast and the Furious\u201d was discontinued roughly two decades ago. Since then, sports car aficionados have been pining vocally for its return. Toyota has finally granted its wish with the 2020 Toyota Supra. CEO Akio Toyoda describes it as \u201ctotally lit.\u201d The Supra will initially be available in two trims. The base starts at $50,920. Additionally, there will be a limited 1,500-car Launch Edition offered for $56,180.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
