Count us in! Weather permitting, the Austin Symphonic Band will play a slew of festive tunes with a Cajun flair to the assembled crowd. This whole concert is, of course, in honor of mothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We encourage bringing a picnic blanket, or else get there early to snag one of the limited audience chairs. You time the \u201crace\u201d yourself, and can choose if you\u2019d like to do a virtual 5k or 10k.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The cost to register for the virtual Mother\u2019s Day 5k\/10k is $20. This includes a custom medal and bib that will be shipped to your location. The quote on the medal says, \u201c\u2019 All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.\u2019 \u2013 Abraham Lincoln.\u201d There\u2019s also a two-medal option, so you can get an extra one for mom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition, at least $15 per registration will be donated to Vitamin Angels. Vitamin Angels provides vitamins and minerals to mothers and babies who need them.
