Ladies and gentleman, it is our pleasure to introduce you to the 9-Speed Chevrolet transmission. In the last year, a few other companies have moved from seven to nine gears, but these are all luxury vehicles. Chevrolet is the first to implement this in an economy car and will soon begin selling it with most of its lineup of quality vehicles. Why add more gears? There are actually a few reasons for this ingenuity. First, with more gears, a vehicle can accelerate faster without actually adding more power or losing weight.
