While the coronavirus has led to many unfortunate changes, it has also led to many positive changes. People have been spending more time with their families due to stay at home orders. Stay at home orders have also led to more people enjoying the outdoors. One of the most common activities was hiking. If you’ve found a new love for hiking, we are here to provide you with some of the best hiking trails to visit in Austin, TX.
A great way to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors
- Riverplace Nature Trail. If you’re looking for more of a challenge, you should check out this trail. This 5.5 mile trail has a lot of stairs and involves a lot of uphill walking. There are plenty of shady spots to cool down in and you get to enjoy a beautiful waterfall. It costs $10 to access this trail.
- Barton Creek Greenbelt Trail. Going for 13.8 miles, this is a perfect trail to take if you’re looking to hike for most of the day. Many people rate this as moderate difficulty. This trail allows dogs on leashes and also features a waterfall. They are currently requiring reservations to avoid congestion on the trail.
- Lady Bird Trail. Although this trail is 10 miles long, it is rated as easy difficulty and is perfect for a hike with the family. There are several activities you can enjoy, and you can bring your dog along with a leash. You’ll get to enjoy the view of a river and can access the trail at different points.
