Easter is right around the corner, spring is in the air, which means that all the classic cars that were tucked away for the winter can come back out to play! Here in Austin, we are fortunate to not only have a thriving car community, but a few excellent auto shows and festivals of our own coming up. In this blog we are going to look at April 2018 Auto Shows around Austin TX to see where you can enjoy the best vintage and modern models.

Lonestar Round Up

April 6-7, 2018

Travis County Expo Center

The 17th Annual Lonestar Round Up boasts miles of vintage models and custom cars that come from around the country for this car show and music festival. The show is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Cost for the two-day wristband is $15 for adults (kids 12 and under are free) and parking is free. First come, first serve RV camping is available for $40 per night. Food, beverages, and live music will run all day.

April 20-22, 2018

Austin Convention Center

The Austin Auto Show will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Advanced online tickets are $6 for adults (ages 12+), with seniors, and military veterans $3.75. Children get in free. Ticket at the door jump to $8 and $6 for adults and seniors/veterans. This event showcases the latest vehicles, including new models and technology, and is great for car fans, vehicle shoppers and families alike.

Other April Events with Classic Car Shows Around Austin

Wimberley Arts Fest – April 28 – This free fine arts festival will be held at The Waters Point in Wimberly TX  near San Marcos and will feature live music, food, adult beverages, and a vintage car show. Dogs are welcome if leashed.

Rattan Creek Crawfish & Cars – April 21 – Live music, crawfish, beer and activities are the major part of this festival, but there will also be a classic car show this year. The event is located at Rattan Creek Park and costs $10/$15 per person, depending on whether or not you are a Rattan Creek Neighborhood Association member. Discounted family pricing is also available.

Cars + Cookies Steiner Ranch – April 29 – This monthly community car show is held at the Steiner Ranch Randall Shopping Plaza. There will also be vendors at this mini-festival. We think that spectators are free (or only need to pay a goodwill donation), but it is $5 to show a car. Proceeds go to local school organizations.
