The birth of the automobile has brought about some pretty cool inventions over the last 150 years. One invention in particular that Chevy has taken a liking to recently is the transmission. First we were given the automatic transmission and the world rejoiced. Manual transmissions still exist, but the question of for how long has been around for more than 30 years. The reason for this high level of uncertainty in the standard transmission lies in the fact that automatic transmissions have become exponentially more efficient.
