How to Check Engine Oil   

• Turn the engine off for at least 10 minutes.   
• Check the oil, cool down, and settle at the bottom.   
• Now locate the yellow or white colored dipstick.   
• Withdraw the dipstick and use a clean rag to wipe it out.   
• Reinsert the dipstick again and pull it out again   
• Keep your dipstick horizontal and check the oil level.
• If the oil level is close to the high reading, it is okay. But if it is below the low reading, you need to add more oil to it. 
• Add oil through an oil filler cap.   
• If you find low reading, it may indicate burning or leaking oil. Take action immediately.   
• If you find engine oil looking like   
  • A milky color -coolant leaking in the engine   
  • Yellow or amber i-safe   
  • darker coffee color-time to replace   

How to Check Transmission Fluid   

• Keep the engine running and fully warm up in the park or neutral
• Use the red colored dipstick 
• locate the transmission fluid dipstick. (usually red)   
• Withdraw the dipstick and use a clean rag to wipe it out.   
• Reinsert the dipstick again and pull it out again.   
• Now read the transmission fluid level. Look for the fluid to fall between the indicator lines.   
• If you find transmission fluid looks like   
  • Glossy reddish hue -healthy   
  • Brown or black in color-Time to add new fluid.   
  • Milky color -damages in the transmission.   

How to Check Brake Fluid   

• Find the brake fluid reservoir and wipe the outside with a clean rag.
• If the fluid level is less than the actual pour more. It should fall between two indicators.   
• If its color is   
  • light blue-healthy   
  • Dark blue-contaminated.  

How to Check Power Steering Fluid   

• Screw the lid off the reservoir.   
• Add the fluid incrementally until you reach the correct “hot” or “cold.”
• Screw the cap into place and attach it securely before closing the hood.
• Generally power steering fluid is red. If it darkens due to oxidation time, replace it.

How to Check Coolant Levels   

• Firstly, allow your engine to cool down.   
• Locate the coolant expansion tank to see if coolant falls between the minimum and maximum indicators on the tank.   
• If it doesn’t, open the radiator cap to see if there is enough fluid.
• If you renew coolant, use the type approved for your vehicle.

How to Check the Windshield Wiper Fluid   

• Buy a jug.   
• pour the fluid into the reservoir at the refilled level.   
• close the cap, and you are done.
